FU’s participation in the World Cadastre Summit!

FU has participated in the World Cadastre Summit, where more than 2500 delegates and visitors from 80 countries met.  
Experts from the fields of cadastral mapping and the geographical data technology sectors convened at the Istanbul Golden Horn Congress Centre between 20-24 April. The summit broke new ground as the theme ‘Let’s Draw up a Cadastral Map of the World’ was tackled.

The World Cadastre Summit was attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and was organized by the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre Office. The event saw the contribution from various non-governmental organizations and it was hosted by İdris Güllüce, the Minister of Environment and Urbanism.

 

The aim of the event was to bring about new solutions which can formalize and record those lands to which 75% of the global population does not own, and currently does not have access to. In addition, new ideas and concepts were discussed to improve land management policies, and the different systems countries around the world have adopted.
