Board of Directors

Mr. Yildirim is a graduate of Daru’ş-şafaka High School and Istanbul University Faculty of Economics. He also holds an MA from Vanderbilt University.

He is currently serving as the Board Chairman at Yildirim Danismanlik Hizmetleri A.S. and also at Ada Plant A.S. He is an independent board member at Sabanci Holding and Tekfen Holding, a member of the Presidency Council for the High Advisory Board in TUSIAD (Turkish Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association). Mr. Yildirim is the Chairman of the High Advisory Board at Daru’ş-şafaka Association and a member of the board of trustees at the Ayhan Sahenk Foundation, and at the Education Volunteers Foundation. He is also President of the Editorial Board at Finans Dunyasi.

His major positions in the past include Ministry Auditor, the Central Bank Vice-Chairmanship, Dogan Holding Board Membership, Dogus Group Vice-Chairmanship and Executive Committee Chairmanship, TUSIAD Board Membership, Dutch Business Association Turkey Chairmanship, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Daru’ş-şafaka Association.

Currently Working as a Vice Chairman of the Board at FU, Aycan Avcı started his career at Ram Dış Ticaret in 1993 and worked in different positions both in Istanbul and Moscow. He worked in Interbank as a Representative for Commonwealth of Independent States (former USSR) during 1996 - 1998, McKinsey & Company during 2000-2002 and Reform Kurumsal Danışmanlık during 2002-2004.

He transformed the family business Aya Danışmanlık into a financial consultancy service in 2005 and continues serving as a consultant.

He earned his MBA degree in Columbia Business School and graduated from Georgetown University Department Of International Economy.

Mr. Ertuğrul Bul is a graduate of the Public Administration Department from the Ankara University Political Sciences Faculty, and also from the Insurance Department of the Turkish Republic Ziraat Bankasi A.S. Banking and Insurance School. He completed training courses in Effective Sales Management at the Wharton School and the Effective Leadership Programme (ELP) at London Business School. Mr. Ertuğrul Bul began his career as a Specialist Banker at Ziraat Bankası followed by the position of Inspector for the Audit Committee of Turkiye Garanti Bankasi A.S.

After Mr. Bul was appointed the Deputy General Manager at Garanti Sigorta A.S. (responsible for Sales-Marketing, Claims, and Financial Affairs), he worked as the CEO at TEB Sigorta A.S. He was also a Founding Member and CEO of Sigortadukkanim Sigorta and Reasürans Brokerlik A.S.

He has been the CEO of FU since October 2013.
